Cochin

Arabian gelding (13 year old)

Cochin is a 10-year-old Arabian gelding that was saved from the feedlot in Eastern Washington. We watched as other horses were saved but not him, leaving Cochin in grave desire of being shipped off to the slaughter house when the next truck arrived. We immediately drove up and picked Cochin up. He shook with nervousness as he was loaded into the trailer. Without a known past, Cowgirl Spirit went through the paces of testing this new horse out. After settling in, we found that he easily carried a saddle, bridle - although acting as though it was definitely new to him having a rider on his back, taking wobbly steps but remained eager to please. Cochin is extremely kind and enjoys his time with his handler. He is a very quick learner and we are excited to see how quickly he picks up on drill!
